October 25, 2026| Royal Guards and Guardettes from Kenya and Uganda will provide security for an estimated 80 kings and queens expected to attend the fourth anniversary celebrations of Emorimor III, His Royal Highness Papa Paul Sande Otoilemeng Emolot, in Busia County from October 28 to 31, 2026.

The celebrations, which will culminate at Acunet Stadium in Malaba on October 31, are expected to be graced by President William Ruto and his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Mark Wesonga Eliani Ogolla, who is in charge of Emorimor’s security in the Eastern Region, said royal guards and guardettes from the region held joint training on Friday with three senior royal guards sent from Uganda by the Minister of Defence and Kings’ Protocol, Hon. Peter Ajeko Imoo. They trained alongside private security personnel from Ebenezah ka Ateker at the Amagoro Fire Station. Royal Guards and Guardettes from Uganda will then join those from Kenya to provide security for the kings and queens.

Wesonga, who is also the patron of the guards, said the private Ebenezah ka Ateker guards would provide security for other installations, including tents and facilities at the celebration venues.

The training is being conducted at the Amagoro Fire Station as the team prepares to secure the high-profile cultural gathering.

“We are undertaking serious training, together with senior royal guards from Uganda, to ensure the fourth anniversary celebrations are well secured by the Ateker security team throughout the event,” Wesonga said.

The security preparations are aimed at ensuring the safety of visiting kings and queens, dignitaries and thousands of guests expected to attend the historic celebrations.
